Today, I finished a 6-part project. It took me 7 hours of straight work because my partner decided I should do it alone. I then learned that the reason my partner did not help me was because the teacher e-mailed the leader of every group, saying the project was cancelled. FML

Today, at school, everybody wanted to be my partner for a project. This surprised me because nobody ever wants to be with me. Turns out when I was absent, my teacher promised that whoever was my partner would get extra points on the project. FML

Today, I had a huge amount of work to get through. Two colleagues offered to help, because one had nothing else to do, and the other couldn't work until I was done. My boss got really pissed at me for "making" them do my job and wasting their time. FML

Today, after working like a caffeine-fuelled thunderstorm for 9 hours straight on an art project, my 2 friends informed me that it was due next week. I slept for 10 hours, and then went to my class without my project, thinking I lucked out in the long run. Clearly not, as it was due today. FML

Today, my class had a group project. The teacher allowed people to opt to do it alone. I, an introvert with crippling social anxiety, was the only one to do it alone. I still finished before everyone else, with an A. The other students called me a "freak" and many other names, simply because I work better alone. FML

you should contact your professor and do 2 things. 1. see if you can get extra credit for the assignment. 2. see if your professor will email your 'partner' with an even more difficult assignment on Friday night that is due Monday. then when your partner tells you about the assignment say 'fool me once' I'm not falling for that again then have your professor email him Sunday night saying ya I canceled this one too. boom!

Why the hell didn't your teacher just e-mail everyone? A project being cancelled is generally news that every single member of a class needs to know! Your teammate is shitty but so is your teacher.

Not necessarily. At our university they also only informed only the group leaders, because they expected us to be mature enough to handle projects on our own.
