Today, I flew 8 hours to visit my boyfriend. When I arrived at the airport, and he started taking long to show up, I checked my email to see the info. I hit the junk mail by accident and found his last 10 emails in there. He had broken up with me a week ago. FML

YDI for not configuring your junkmail filters. Why would you take such a long trip, and expect him to meet you at the airport after not hearing back from him in a week? Normal people confirm these arrangements a day or two prior to flight.

I'd say FML because you just flew 8 hours but also YDI for not calling him before hand

YDI for not checking your junk mail. Every time you do ANYTHING on the internet, and it sends you an email for whatever reason, they always tell you "check your junk mail in case your email blocked it out." I'm not saying you had to read them, but I would at least check if you knew any of the senders. It happens to me all the time.

he probably broke up with you cos you lived 8 hours away from him...and what kind of relationship did you have anyway, that you havent talked at least once on the phone in the week that you couldnt see each other? take your head out of your ass!

FYL for the situation in which you found yourself -but really, a long distance relationship and you never talked on the phone? Or at least IM or webcam in a week leading up to a major visit? I find those kinds of relationships somewhat creepy in general but if he's your boyfriend you should at least be communicating. Didn't you confirm? Thus: YDI.

I love people who don't talk normally anymore... e-relationships lol

oh come on, what is wrong with you? you obviously havent tried e-sex...I mean, if you only see your gf/bf over the webcam, you can just watch **** as well...

...I actually met my boyfriend online, and then we met in person. What is so wrong with "e-relationships"? I can see your point if the couple actually live close together though, but in this case they were a 8 hr plane ride apart.

Did you ever think that maybe they worked out a plan for her to go see him, down to the last detail, and that she didn't realize the plan had changed because she didn't get those last e-mails? Why are you assuming he didn't know about it, or that they didn't have concrete plans that he changed by breaking up with her? You're yelling at her ONLY BASED ON AN ASSUMPTION THAT THEY DIDN'T MAKE EXACT PLANS FOR HIM TO GO GET HER AT THE AIRPORT AT THAT TIME.

Another question. I would assume that he had emailed you in the past, and I would assume you got those emails. Why is he suddenly in the junk box? hmmmm

That's weird, why wouldn't you have talked to him right before you flew out, or even come up with plans to meet? Wtf
