wow, you have some pretty strong feelings towards someone you don't know :P
Ok. For one thing, flying 8 hours is like... Europe. When flying to Europe, one must always triple check their arrangements for once they arrive. Also, if you don't hear from your boyfriend you're going to visit in over a week, you figure out why before you fly there. I have no sympathy for you at all.
8 hours is not necessarily Europe. I live in California and my parents live in New England. Without layovers and time changes, a straight nonstop flight is 7 hours long. So no. Nice try though.
Nice effort, but BS. 2/10
YDI for getting on a plane to visit someone without calling them first to confirm times, plans, etc.
how is this possible? didnt u talk to the guy in that past week?
first of all your boyrfriends an ass for breaking up with you over mail. he needs to man up and tell you in person good riddance ! and you must have been hooked on this loser ! ever heard of checking plans beforehand ?
how the **** was he supposed to do it in person when they live 8 hours away?? that's a waste of a plane ticket just to dump someone
Hate to be a bastard, but I find it a little hard to believe that you found it normal that he hadn't communicated with you for a week (I know he had, but as far as you were concerned). The two of you hadn't spoken a week before you were going to fly for 8 hours to him, you thought that was normal?
has he heard of texting? it's a great thing you know...

YDI for not configuring your junkmail filters. Why would you take such a long trip, and expect him to meet you at the airport after not hearing back from him in a week? Normal people confirm these arrangements a day or two prior to flight.
I'd say FML because you just flew 8 hours but also YDI for not calling him before hand
