Today, I forgot my boyfriend was allergic to nuts and ate Nutella toast before he arrived. He had just brought me flowers for doing well in an exam and I kissed him. He had a reaction and I had to stab him in the leg. FML

That's how my friend found out he was allergic to tree nuts, he tried nutella. Personally I try to memorize who in my life is allergic to what so I don't accidentally kill them, it works better than you'd think.

Don't feel too bad. This happens to me, where I forget I'm allergic, and then eat Nutella. Thank god I don't have to stab myself in the leg.

If u don't have an epipen with u when u eat or have the constant fear of having a reaction at a restaurant or if your accidentally forget what you are allergic to, you aren't actually allergic.

That's totally untrue & an idiotic thing to say 55. I have a lot of allergies. I'm allergic to raw potatoes for instance and breakout in hives everywhere. It doesn't affect my breathing and I'm certainly not going to die, but the bumps all over my body and itchiness that happens will tell you I am certainly allergic. Just because I'm not anaphylactic or not severe enough that I'm constantly in fear of having it, doesn't mean it's not an allergy or still a problem.

Thats a pretty severe allergy that even the merest hint of nuts just from your saliva sets it off. Glad he is ok though.
