That is awful
Teach your kids about puberty and sex before she's trying something else to get rid of an unwanted pregnancy. Education is power.
I was crying when I first got mine, but luckily my mom was home to help me :/
How did you not talk to her about this beforehand? Does she not have friends who know about it either?
...and that's definitely your fault.
I'm gonna go out on a limb here, and assume that OP believes sexual education should be left solely on the school system's shoulders.
did you walk in the bathroom on her? was she doing this out in the open? how did you see her doing this?
Don't feel bad op, even though I had the talk with my parents I still reacted like I was dying when I first got mine at the age of 12. It just something about seeing the blood that sends a girl into panic mode.
How could you make her go through that? As a mother you owed her an explanation of what to expect when it happens and educate her about her body. You totally failed her and I feel sorry for her. Try not to drop the ball about sex and pregnancy now or she will be crying about NOT having her period soon. SMDH
YDI for being her mother and not teaching her about these things.
You do realise a mother doesn't actually know WHEN the first period comes? There is no set rule on when you give your daughter that talk, ot the sex talk or similar talks. It could be she matured early and got her first period earlier than expected.

um, maybe you shouldve taught her about her about her body?
**** your daughters life. I'm a guy and I can't imagine bleeding out in my genital area and not knowing what the ***** going on just imagine all the things that could be going through her head. I'd do more than cry. You should have taught her about periods atleast. I can't blame you though because she might still be young and you couldn't have known that it would come so soon
