You cannot get it from a toilet seat. You can get it from oral sex. Not entirely sure about scratching your mouth if you have oral then touching your genitals unless you had fluid on your hand and immediately touched your genitals (masturbation with your own saliva maybe?)

You can't get herpes from saliva. Oral herpes is transmitted through open sores or cuts in the mouth

You can't get herpes from kissing? when the **** did this happen? that's the number one way of herpes... saliva! babies get it when a adult touches their hand n a baby puts said hand in mouth.. that's the most common way of catching it. genital herpes is a strain of herpes that can be spread through oral sex. If the herpes om your face came from the genital strain. it can spread to another genital from your face. Also : oral means relating to mouth. oral spreading can be kissing or spitting while you talk.

#32, you failed Sex Ed, didn't you? Kissing is the number one way to get oral herpes. Saliva is commonly swapped during kissing, which spreads it.

If you scratch a cold sore and touch your genitals, you can get it. It's always recommended to wash your hands after picking a cold sore so it doesn't spread.

As far as I know, you probably got it from your mom. That's probably the only other way you could get it, besides intercourse of course.

I think people took your comment slightly wrong, and that's why your getting down voted. It can be passed from mother to child, but they would have noticed it way before he was old enough to be on here, and it wouldn't necessarily be on his privates.
