Sometimes we try our best to help people but they just don't want it. Im sure you felt you were doing the right thing at the moment.
Snitches get stitches poopy.
I think OP is friends with the boyfriend, which gives her every right to tell him that his bitch of a girlfriend cheated on him. I don't understand why everyone's upset with OP, she did the right thing - the boyfriend is just delusional and the best friend is selfish. She won't even admit to her wrong actions. She'd rather let everyone think OP is crazy and an awful person, when in reality, it's her.
No she didn't. Their relationship is still none of her business.
For all the people saying she deserved it and that she should have stuck by her best friend, why should she? I've been in that situation. My best friend was dating an amazing guy who really cared about her, I became friends with him through that. When I found out she was cheating on him I sat for about a week trying to decide what to do. I eventually decided to ask her how she felt about him and after realising she didn't give a shit about him either way, I decided to tell him and I stopped speaking to her. Sometimes people just change for the worse and no matter how close you used to be before, it's never the same again.
YDI. How was it any of your business? And you showed a complete lack of respect by going behind her back. Ever heard of asking first?
Cheating is ****** up and wrong I don't care if the girl was the OP best friend. She did the right thing by telling the boyfriend. Why should she let the best friend hurt what is possibly a good guy? There are so few of those left in this world if I was being cheated on I'd want to be told.
Maybe because this is what "best friend" means. If you say "I just killed someone", your best friend will say "hold on, I have a shovel" rather than "I am reporting you to the police".
YDI. YDI. YDI. Next time, talk to your "friend".

if she's your best friend, why not approach her about it first? instead of directly going to the boyfriend
This is usually a lose-lose situation. Although, I don't know why you confronted the boyfriend instead of your best friend. She's the one cheating, and should be responsible for admitting the truth to her boyfriend.
