You'd better hope that no cops read FML. It's admirable that you don't want to snitch on your mother, but since you know what she is doing, you are part of her fraud. Maybe you'll get to be together in prison :) You options are: a) Pay all of the bills off. b) Convince your mother to turn herself in. That's her only chance at getting a light sentence. If you can't or won't do a) and she won't do b), then you have no choice but to rat her out. Either she goes down or you both go down.
I understand if OP doesn't want to turn their mom in. We don't know the whole situation. OP could have younger siblings that may have to go to foster care if the mom was put away. I have a friend in a similar situation and you have to do what's best for your family no matter what.
Let's see...the kids could have a home with thief-mom for a few years. Then, when they turn 18, mommy dearest steals THEIR identities as well (hey, she got away with it with one kid, why not the others??) and their credit scores are also ruined. They never get another home again, because no one will sell or rent to them because of their ruined credit scores. But, hey, at least mommy didn't get in trouble. Yeah, we don't know the whole story. But, we know enough to know that this woman is perfectly OK with screwing over her children. Is that a good situation for children to live in?
turn that bitch i'n **** that shit
YDI for having perfect credit or even any credit at all to steal, for being too willing to bend over and take it instead of standing up for yourself, for having a thief for a mom, and for even having a mom at all.
Turn her in!!!
what do mean won't work out for anyone? so your just gonna let it go and not do anything about it? mother or not she sure as hell didn't mind taking all your money. quit being a bitch about it, I'm sure that's why she did it. do the right thing!
So let me get this straight. Your mother goes and ruins your credit by getting credit cards and such in your name, and neglects to pay it back. Your credit is ruined, preventing you from getting things such as a new car, apartment or house, apply for mortgages, and such. And you're bitching about how t wod not rk out for everyone if you turn her in?!
Only in america would you turn your parents in for money.
She stole from him and ****** any chance OP can get on with their life - but she gets a pass because she's related? **** that.
Sum1two, after reading your comments here I have to tell you that you're lucky breathing is involuntary, because otherwise I'm sure your dumb ass would forget.
? Is that the best thing you can say??
I assume wherever you are from it is acceptable to break the law? Or Mayr it's more accurate to say there is now law? When some one breaks the law, they are punished. If you know about it, and fail to report it, YOU are punished. I really don't see the confusion in that. But what do I know? You must be "cool". Or gangster, or whatever.
Turn her in. Same exact situation happened to a friend of mine. Her mother racked up millions in debt through fraudulant student loans and now she only has two choices. Turn her mother in and get her credit back i.e be able to buy a home, have a normal life or not and never be able to pay it all back. I know it's your mom but its your life too.

Come on. Grow a pair and turn her in.
thats probably why she does what she does. If we didnt have consequences for breaking the law do you really think people would follow them as much as we do now?
