Today, I found out that my daughter has been watching Supernatural and The X-Files so she'll fit in better at school. I'm not even angry that she's suddenly a brain-dead conformist, it's just that she now has nightmares all the time and insists on sleeping in my bed. She's a kicker. FML

I don't blame her for watching Supernatural. Jensen Ackles is HOT.

At least you didn't catch her listening to One Direction and Justin Bieber, and reading Twilight. That's the ultimate level of brain-dead.

I LOVE supernatural!!! But last time i checked, glee and degrasi were the popular shows to watch or even criminal minds but x files? Nah

I don't think it is a meme so much as a type of fanfiction, though for all I know it could be both.

Get her into Doctor Who? It'll make her less scared because the Doctor is there to save people most of the time. But it'll probably make her scared of stone angels, turning left, and cracks in the walls. It'll work out for you, too. Matt Smith is so adorable

I can tell you right now from personal experience that you need to talk to your daughter about the 'fitting in' problem. Up until I was around 9, I lied to others about what I liked to eat, drink, watch, opinions and thoughts on things and a few others because I wanted to fit in better. Thankfully, my mother told me that it was okay to like things that I like, even if no one else did. Down the line, I made friends who like the same things as me and was far less miserable because of it. If she has issues with making friends at school, have you considered looking into activities or volunteer things for her age group?

Sadly many people are idjits and still don't know about it.

What is she living in the 90's? Anyway that sounds badass!

I watched Buffy when I was in elementary school, and I watch Supernatural now. If she wants to watch Supernatural, it's no where near as bad as Buffy was. Besides, it's probably the best show ever anyway.

I don't get it, are current shows not good enough? I dont think I ever heard any of those shows mentioned when I was in school.
