Today, I found out that my girlfriend of two years broke up with me because she wants to "become" a lesbian. I also learned that she's coming to my house for dinner tonight. My sister is her date. FML

Worst excuse on her part ever. You don't choose to be a lesbian. Either: - She never was straight - She's bi and wanted your sister more than you - She's a lying bitch, and she somehow thinks this is a way to cover up... something - She's a lying bitch who thinks being gay is automatically cool

I doubt your girlfriend decided to "become" a lesbian. That's not how it works. More likely she just realized that she was attracted to women and not men, and realized that she wanted to be with your sister. You shouldn't blame her or get mad at her; at least she broke up with you first instead of resorting to cheating. Still, FYL because I'm sure it hurts to have that happen.

So I suppose I 'chose' to have my entire (Catholic) family hate me, to be made fun of, to lose most of my (Catholic) friends, and to not be able to have many of the rights that straight people have, just because I 'felt' like becoming a lesbian? Ooh, what fun! I'm going to get a girlfriend and turn my entire life upside down, because I just want to! Awesome! Seriously, no one would 'choose' to 'become' gay knowing what they're going to have to deal with once they're out. But, once you accept yourself for who you are, you find out who your real friends are, and you don't have to pretend anymore, which is always a relief. I'm quite happy being who I am, and nothing you can say will ever change that!

#89 - what rights are you missing out on? Also, you say your family and friends are Catholic... If you are, too, you could have chosen a celibate life.

She doesn't have the right to marry the person she is most attracted to. Having the right to marry a guy is BS made up to justify a conclusion that has already been made. Let me guess, you have never engaged in onanism and you have always kept the Sabbath holy.

#112 - ...So... She's missing out on a right that's total BS and, if I understand you correctly, meaningless?

She has a right to marry people she is not attracted to. So she has a right that is worthless to her. She is denied what she really wants, which is the right to marry the person she would choose.

But you JUST SAID that getting married is "BS made up to justify a conclusion that has already been made." Sorry, but the institution of marriage was created in part to properly bring children into the world. Gay couples can't do that.

Hich, Shut The **** Up, Dude. You're not gay, and you don't know what gay means or feels like. All You Can Do is speculate and most of the time speculation by an esteemed individual such as yourself is BULLSHIT... For instance, if I look at a scantily clad girl and call her a **** and treat her as such I have made an observation without knowing WHAT issues she may be coping with and I am now treating her accordingly BASED ON my opinion which is undoubtedly unfair for her. You, My Dear, and looking into the window of homosexuality and some ****** UP Idea that you possess makes you think that you can throw rocks through that window, bang down the door, and burn down the house just to get to the people inside and bludgeon them to death. How's about you go focus on tht happy celibate life you possess. My Opinion? Maybe if you got some ass of your own occasionally you would leave everyone else alone. K My essay is done now. =)

Exaggerate much? I was asking questions. I never used an insult, or a slur, or personally attacked ANYone. You say you're defending your ideals? So am I. Don't try to make me the bad guy because because I question you - you're doing the same thing.

If marriage is for procreation and that is why gay couples can't marry, then infertile women and sterile men should not be able to marry, and women who have gone through menopause should not be able to marry, and couples who do not want children should not be able to marry...

Jazzywrites007 2

You seem mildly intelligent so I suggest you re-read your comments and realize what a condescending ass you were being. You're not merely asking questions; What you are doing is challenging one person's Catholic upbringing and challenging homosexuality. In reality, Your opinion isn't needed on either of those topics. I never claimed innocence. I NEVER Said I was defending my ideals because I didn't rebuff those ignorant ass comments you made. But I suppose I'm a bad guy just like everyone else on Earth. The only difference is that YOU are instigating.

O_O wow! i did not see that coming... RI

What is with all these fmls about people that are in a relationship and one of them turning gay...?

Maroonblood 0

Because they decide to be gay. They're not born gay.

... people are born gay just like people are born straight. it is not a choice, dumbass. i suppose you thought long and hard about which gender you would be with the rest of YOUR life? no. it is pure instinct.

Dragunov_fml 0

People can't be "born gay" as this implies that there is some genetic determinant for homosexuality. It doesn't make evolutionary sense for nature to allow homosexuality, because two organism of the same gender can't produce offspring. If at sometime there was a "homosexual" gene it would have died off in that generation.

#127, as if the world isn't overpopulated enough already...

Well, at least if she's realized she's lesbian, it's better of her to go ahead and let you know than to keep leading you on for months or years.

#84 - Elementary school?! Who, gay or straight, even HAS those feelings in elementary school?!

you've never had an elementary school crush? alot of the time it's obvious what your orientation is from a very young age, even with things that don't involve anything sexual.

Hich17 0

Mm... Actually, you're right. Good point.
