Today, I found out where my $300 worth of American Eagle and Hollister clothes had disappeared to. My 16 year old sister shredded them with scissors, took pictures of it for her Myspace and said that I deserved it for being a "conformist." All her "internet friends" said it was awesome. FML

Wearing those clothes is fine. Still going on myspace however is NOT.

I think it's kind of funny that her conformist-hating sister has a Myspace account. It doesn't get much more conformist than that. That sucks, though. Plot some horrible revenge :D

Oh I would have throttled her. I hope your parents make her pay for the clothing, I know some of it may not be able to be replaced but hopefully you can find some things you like just as much. Reguardless of the brand 300 dollars is a lot of money and I know from experience that some of the things from those brands are really well made and can last for a lot longer than other brands. My favorite pair of jeans are from Holister, my room mate gave them to me becasue they didn't fit her anymore and they are so comfy. Oh geeze ramble.....

rip up her shitty emo clothes ! 'oh I'm not conformist, and so are all my friends, that's why we dress the fkn same' she sounds like a girl who has a good life, says she hates it, but really, if her parents kicked her out, shed cry, beg forgiveness and move back and probably be complaining about her life again the next day :|

I have many pairs of Sevens/Earl jeans (which I bought from outlet stores at similar prices to that of the less "preppy" brands). Oh noez, I r wot cunformin' cuz I buy da clowthez wich mak me luk ritch. WRONG. The people on here haven't considered the fact that better made clothes LOOK better, thus making you FEEL better. There IS a distinct quality difference between Sevens and Target, and where I don't agree with ruining yourself in order to buy the latest designs from AE/Hollister/whatever, if you have the money then the concept of buying cheap clothes you feel like shite in is just as ridiculous to some people as spending X amount on one item is to others. It's not about fashion for all of us "conformists"*, it's about buying things which make us feel good about ourselves: which can be EITHER cheaper/"prestigious", preppy/gothic or thrift/designer. *I wear A&F/Sevens/blahblahblah and am completely hooked on Super Mario Galaxy atm. Oh. And I'm also playing through pokemon red. Again. For fun. :o. But hey, seeing as I wear these brands, EVERYTHING I do must be some kind of conformist activity.

I showed my internet friends this FML and they thought it was awesome.

YDI YOU EVIL PREPPY *****, DIE DIE DIE. hahahaha. twelve year olds are funny. get over yourselves, get off myspace, go get a job and buy your own clothes instead of having your mom take you shopping. $300 is $300, whether in the form of ~preppy~ clothes or cold hard cash, and either way i guarantee NOBODY in this thread would want to lose it

I would seriously beat that self-absorbed idiot into a wall. I'd bet money that she buys all of her clothes from Hot Topic.

Human beings need to stop hating on each other man. Clothes are JUST clothes. It's not the end of the world. When humans first evolved, they made clothes out of the resources around them. No stores, no malls, no stereotypes, or cliques. It is us who give the human race a bad name. You should all be ashamed of yourselves.

Well with how expensive they are, it was probably only 7 shirts.

YDI for being so conformist. I'm sorry, but when you spend 600$ at one time on 2 brands of clothing (worn by preps who I hate with a passion), you have a problem. I'm not saying your sister's actions were justified, of course she shouldn't destroy 300$ of clothes, but then again she's probably a punk, so she wouldn't talk it over with you. I've thought several times of buying one of their shirts and burning it right in front of everybody at the store, but then I though what a waste of a very expensive shirt it was. Although your sister is my hero, she was wrong. You should consider wearing something other then AE and Hollister.

conformist [kənˈfɔːmɪst] n 1. a person who adopts the attitudes, behaviour, dress, etc. of the group to which he belongs I hate to break it to you but unless you are making your own clothes you are 'conforming' to something. So you should go burn your clothes as well since you're a conformist as well. I wear things from Hot Topic, and I wear things from Wal-Mart, I also own things from Hollister. Being anti conformist is just conforming to the non conformist group.
