Today, I found out why my girlfriend of 8 months has never agreed to stay the night before. Now I have a 4-month old mattress that needs replacing, and a 23-year-old bedwetter for a girlfriend. FML

Meanwhile, somewhere else on FML. "Today I felt comfortable enough with my boyfriend to stay the night with him in spite of an embarrassing problem. I did it because he kept pressuring me. I wet his bed, and he was a real jerk about it. He even posted details about it on this site, as if I wouldn't bloody see it. FML"

That's a shame. She's probably really embarrassed about it all. Try to be understanding, if you can.

Both you and your gf made mistakes: 1) your gf not telling you she had this problem 2) you posting this for the world to see. hope everything works out though.

Way to be a dick about bladder problems... You don't deserve her.

FBYL, that stinks that she has a bladder condition and definitely be supportive of her but also that sucks she didn't tell you or at least use some kind of protection.

I know how to save this relationship...buy her a bottle of Arginine Vasopressin nasal spray (also known as Anti-Diuretic Hormone). In a nutshell, it retains water in the body longer, making it so the sensation to urinate is suppressed. It is used all the time on children that wet the bed. However, I think you can only get it by prescription and care must be used in taking it. Next time you want her to sleep over, she uses the spray and the bed stays dry :)

If you are spreading something personal that she trusted you with over the internet then you certainly don't deserve her you ********, have fun with your new mattress - alone.

I would look into buying plastic bed sheets.

Putting aside the fact that you're a jerk - I think that's been reiterated enough - why the **** would you need to buy a new mattress? Do you think kids who very very occasionally wet the bed (eg, I stopped wetting the bed when I was about 3, but it still happened once or twice when I was a kid) get a new mattress every time? Of course not! Steam clean it, air it, spray some Glen 20 on it, and get the **** over it!

You're an asshole. She probably feels bad enough about this as it is (I'm guessing it's some sort of medical condition) without you being a jerk and posting her personal issues on the internet.
