Today, I found out why my girlfriend of 8 months has never agreed to stay the night before. Now I have a 4-month old mattress that needs replacing, and a 23-year-old bedwetter for a girlfriend. FML

Meanwhile, somewhere else on FML. "Today I felt comfortable enough with my boyfriend to stay the night with him in spite of an embarrassing problem. I did it because he kept pressuring me. I wet his bed, and he was a real jerk about it. He even posted details about it on this site, as if I wouldn't bloody see it. FML"

I like how people are diagnosing the girl they haven't even met based on a short paragraph. She might not have had a medical problem. Maybe she did drink too many liquids. Who knows?

People do have that as a long term incurable condition. They can take drugs with nasty side effects, but that is about all. In dirt poor countries women get really bad cases from a failed pregnancy. That is treatable, but they have no money to get the operation and they are treated like dogs because of the smell.

I like, even more so, the people who are saying that he shouldn't be posting on FML and should be supporting her. You act like it takes 10 hours of the day to post on FML. It was a story, he shared it. I'd be pretty bent if my mattress got ruined too, because she SHOULD HAVE TOLD HIM. Shame on her for not telling him. I mean, I feel bad if she did something like that, but that doesn't mean she shouldn't at least tell him that she has had something like that as a precaution. Also, some people find that attractive.

I was going to write "harsh she felt she couldn't tell you for 8 months", and yet... reading your post... no, no honestly it doesn't surprise me. In fact, your post revealing what it did, *I* think you don't *deserve* someone who was finally willing to be vulnerable with an issue as (in reality) light and trite as this, only to whine about your mattress- which, for some reason you feel needs replacing entirely because of some piss. Try a spot and deep-soak cleaning first, captain. Or just go ahead and waste a few thousand, hey. All in all, not only are you shallow, but you're entirely too self-centered to even notice how this might have been and incredibly vulnerable and awkward topic for her. I won't even *start* on how you were... what, oblivious? to her not being willing to spend the night for... eight... *months*. Seriously. After night 2 or 3 I'd be asking myself, and then *her*, if there was anything I could do to change her mind or make her more comfortable with the idea of staying. Lo and behold, maybe we might have even talked it out and I'd learn she wet her bed and I have a fetish for feet. Tit-for-tat. Points for being an attentive and understanding lover, prick.
