Today, I Googled my father, who I haven't seen in 3 years. The first website link was his obituary. When I confronted my mom about it, she said, "Oh, didn't I tell you?" and walked off. FML

Your mom is a selfish bitch seems to me she didnt tell you just because she didnt care that your father died. With that said im sorry you had to find out that way and your mom is pretty shitty for doing you bad like that.

OP, I'm sorry you didn't know. That's really awful, because regardless, he is your father. However, your mom probably knew him better than you, so, maybe, just maybe, there was a reason she didn't tell you. Maybe there's a reason she doesn't want to talk about it. I know it's a tough situation, and I'm sorry for your loss regardless.
