Today, I Googled my father, who I haven't seen in 3 years. The first website link was his obituary. When I confronted my mom about it, she said, "Oh, didn't I tell you?" and walked off. FML

Perhaps there was a reason the father wasn't in their lives for several years? Not the best call on mom's part, but it could be extremely uncomfortable to talk about, or perhaps he'd hurt her badly, who knows? OP bears a little responsibility for not asking about dad for three years, too, if you ask me.

It's an article about someone who has died it tells a little about there life and their spouse, kids, grand kids ect. If there was a reason they died or due to old age..usually the date of birth and death..stuff like that.
