Today, I Googled my father, who I haven't seen in 3 years. The first website link was his obituary. When I confronted my mom about it, she said, "Oh, didn't I tell you?" and walked off. FML

awe i'm sorry about your dad dying. ask your mom why the heck she didn't tell you. i dont' know my biological father, i get a letter every now and then from my step mom. but i would still want to know if he had passed. i'm sorry she didn't have enough respect for you to tell you :(

they obviously loved their dad as the title says 'miss you dad'. thats reaaally mean of your mum and i agree that you should empty her bank or get your own back somehow. and to the pricks saying she wont be much different without him stfu cos regardless he was still her dad

So? I don't have a dad and if he dies, I wouldn't give a shit, just like how he wouldn't give a shit if I died. Do u think ur dad would have cared if u keeled over and died right now? No, he wouldn't, because he doesn't know u exist. I can't believe you would walk up to ur mother with such news then call this an FML. Wow, this is by far the stupidest comment I've read on here. Different people have different relationships with their parents, so it doesn't mean every kid out there with or without a dad has a bad relationship with them. Clearly, OP misses her dad very much.
