I agree. I know two people that are getting a divorce. The wife says her husband is cheating on her (he's not the best looking guy so idk who'd date him) and he says she's too controlling. But what are you gonna do? They both agree to divorce and here we don't know the wife's reason for divorce, it could be anything. So please think before you type.

Exactly! I was looking for a comment like this because it is so very true. Every story has two sides and maybe they did try all the other options to fix their marriage already. Divorce typically is the last resort for many married couples who just can no longer deal with one another.

This seems too calculated for him to be abusive, if she was leaving him because he was abusive I imagine she would have left as soon as she was able to. Having the papers and being in a position but delaying seems more like the actions of someone who can afford to wait, I.e not someone experiencing abuse

Why is the person who serves the divorce papers always the bad guy? Is it possible the marriage was strained, fixes had been tried, and in the end one spouse was just plain unhappy and decided enough was enough? Doesn't make it any less of a shock for the other spouse, but doesn't make the divorcer evil, a bitch, a manipulative ****, cad, sob, etc.
