Today, I got a job selling knives. I had training for 11 hours. At the end of the training session, the instructor promptly informed everyone that they had to pay $145 for a set of demo knives. I paid the $145. I went home and learned that it was a scam. I went back for a refund. They said no. FML

This isn't a scam---this is vector marketing...first of all, you CAN get your refund for the knives and whomever is telling u that u cant is lying to u and u should talk to someone higher up in the company, or a manager in a different office to get that refund back. Further, you should have checked out the job, which u probably googled to 'figure out' that it was a scam when u should've checked that out before you took the job...finally, I don't work for them anymore, but I did, and I made well over 100k with them. I dont really care if you don't believe me on that, but at least believe me when I say you CAN GET YOUR MONEY BACK. Vector has been around for 40 years without lawsuits and government shutdowns for a reason.

VECTOR IS A SCAM!! Don't be fooled by these guys hiding as legitimate posters trying to convince you they are not a scam. They are doing nothing short of trying to steal your money. If they tried to pull that shit on me i would knock their ******* teeth out like the bitches they are. SCAM SCAM SCAM!!

LIES!! VECTOR IS A HUGE SCAM!!!! They are trying to steal your money. Don't be fooled by these fake posters! You should NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER have to PAY to get a job!! Am I the only one who sees how ABSURD this is? If you are even considering this job you need to STOP AND THINK because you are about to get SCAMMED!!!

I didn't got to college, I went to university. Two actually. One for my commerce undergrad and another for my MBA. I'm not quite sure where you're getting this McDonalds thing from, but i suppose when you have no reputable evidence you have to resort to making things up. And no I didn't pay for my suits I wear to work, i received a $2000 signing bonus which helped me out with that. When you get a real job, they pay you! :)

The $2000 was a reimbursement allowance for work clothes. I apologize for deficient information. Plus I wear them to weddings, formal events, charity events. The biggest difference is I could use them for ANY job. Its not like they force me to buy the suits off them as a requirement to work there....theres a HUGE difference and if you don't see it then I am starting to see how you ended up working for VECTOR THE SCAM ARTISTS. As for the "deposit", you don't get the money back. Read the story. They SCAM you out of it. Irregardless, the point is deceptive employee targeting. Your barely distorting even the most minute examples I'm providing and passing them off as logical rebuttles. VECTOR IS A SCAM (Why do you think they hide behind this name?)

You're comprehension skills are as poor as a GM stockholder. Do you honestly not see the difference? Vector FORCES you to buy THEIR product as a requirement for the "job". If i buy a suit I can buy any suit of any company and use it for anything. I don't know how i can be any clearer on this all-important point.

'Vector has been around for 40 years without lawsuits and government shutdowns for a reason.' you are aware they've been sued and the plaintiffs have won in SEVERAL states right? http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/84672/the_truth_about_vector_marketing_group_pg2.html?cat=3 read that please.

LIES FROM A VECTOR PUBLIC RELATIONS SCAMMER!! THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY, DONT BE A SUCKER!

Omggg I work for that company! Vector is NOT a scam. The knives work GREAT and you can too get a refund on the set, which for me was $135, NOT $145. So FYL, YDI.

DO NOT LISTEN TO THIS SCAM ARTIST THEY ARE PART OF VECTOR. VECTOR IS A SCAM DON'T LET THEM STEAL YOUR MONEY!!

Haha sorry man but Vector is a giant scam. You should have found that out BEFORE you forked over $145! They sent me a letter too but all I had to do was Google the name; even Spamlaws identifies it as a scam. Just research anything you're thinking about getting into; stay away from Scientology too btw lol!

any job that requires you to text "apply" to "7777" on your cell phone is not a worthy job :P

I work for Vector! and its def not a scam! i had to pay the 145 also but in my first weekend i made twice the amount of what i paid for it!. the people in the office are very nice and they care a lot! i love it :]

Lies from a vector employee! You will only lose money in this scam!

I feel like everyone on here defending Vector is the same person.

Of course it is. Vector scams so much money they hire someone to defend the brand on public forums. You don't fool me scam artist!!! VECTOR MARKETING IS 100% A SCAM!! YOU ARE A FOOL IF YOU PAY MONEY TO GET A JOB!!!!!!

I did Vector, and it's not a scam.. but if you aren't committed to it, you'll screw yourself. However, I still have the demo knives I bought, and I love em. And didn't pay the ghastly $900 for the full set.

I interview hundreds of people a year for jobs. If I ever see "Vector Marketing" on a resume it immediately goes in the garbage because I know any person who falls for this SCAM has poor critical thinking skills. When it comes up in an interview I quickly end it and then phone the guys around the office and we all have a good laugh at how retarded that person must be. JUST THE FACTS!

Do you advertise bullshit?

If a fertilizer company paid us to. Then yes.

#178: I believe the defenters are not same person. Just pointing out, that it is not actually "scam". (they sell you knives, you sell them for bigger money - that the point of almost all bussines). But it is just very very bad job, and they are using unexperienced students to take it. It is just really rally dificult to make living with this. deffinetly not worth the ration of "worked hours vs. earned money." Its the same as all these "we will pay you for browsing your internet.". well it is not scam - but for 0.1 dollar per day - only fool can do it.

Lies from a Vector representative!! Vector will steal your money and time leaving you with nothing. The only people making 10k are the ones stealing it from the students. VECTOR = SCAM!
