Today, I got a job selling knives. I had training for 11 hours. At the end of the training session, the instructor promptly informed everyone that they had to pay $145 for a set of demo knives. I paid the $145. I went home and learned that it was a scam. I went back for a refund. They said no. FML

LIES FROM A VECTOR PUBLIC RELATIONS SCAMMER!! THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY, DONT BE A SUCKER!!

My friend worked for vector and they forced him to buy a $300 knife set after undergoing 20 hours of unpaid training (they don't tell you this beforehand). THEN they withdrew $750 in training costs from his account without permission!! Not only that but he was forced to provide contact information for all his friends and relatives who were spammed by other vector reps to by knives. They told his grandma she had to buy a set so he could keep his job and made her buy a $900 set of knives!! After all this he was fired for complaining about the training costs!! DONT BE A SUCKER AND GET SCAMMED BY THESE CON ARTISTS!

But dude, sell the knives, Be proud that you won the best and sell them and make money. The reason he said no was because you didnt even give it a chance. As a manager, i know that. So try it for a week, if you really do not like it, return it. I had plenty of kids return their kits, not because they hated it, because they figured out it wasnt for them. They all loved it though. Just try it dude. All you need to do is expect to do well and you'll be fine. The life of an entrepeneur is awesome.

I got a letter from this company Vector. I went in and applied for the job. I then learned about everything the company is about and how I have to pay for my own knife sets. I really high believe that it is a scam as do my parents. I accepted the job but I am going to call in and say I can't take it after all. I haven't bought the knife sets yet. A warning to everyone else. Don't take this company up on it's offer. It's not really a FML though.

I work at Vector/Cutco. If you're not smart it very well can be a scam (Don't go to the conventions!). But the 145 for the knives was not a purchase, it's a deposit. If you look at the contract you're entitled to your money back.
