I have worked with Vector for almost 3 years now and I can say it is not a scam. All these negative things come from people who lacked discipline and did not want to put in some extra work for a nice paycheck. I love working hard. I make anywhere from a $400/week paycheck to $2100/week. That $145 for your samples is a SECURITY DEPOSIT. It is 100% refundable. It is also a TAX DEDUCTION because it is a business expense. Vector Marketing is a member of the BBB and they gave us a very high rating. It is not a scam.
Tax write offs only reduce taxable income, so when your income is $0 how much can you write off on your taxes? More lies from Vector reps!! Any company thats FORCES you to buy products in order to have a job is a SCAM! DIE FOWL DEMONS!!
crasher41 i started working with vector the end of may and i have already become an assistant manager, made over 8 grand, I work Tuesdays Wednesdays and Thursdays.......i do what i am supposed to do and follow the program...people who do not follow the program are people like you who are bitter and unmotivated to do anything but work at McDonalds???? And obviously instead of WORKING at your "job" you sit at the computer playing World of Warcraft and post stuff on FML..... FYL, how much money do you make posting 400 comments in 24 hours??? I made a grand the past two days at Vector....Whats your number we can hangout sometime...Maybe I'll buy you a beer or maybe a burger or possibly teach you how to do something with your life, and you can teach me all the cheat codes to World of Warcraft and FML...This job has gotten me into one of the top business schools in the country. It's morons like you who are too pessimistic to realize a good thing when it slaps you across the face....Vector CALLS YOU...so YOU can make money...Are you retarded? A life changing job rings you up and you post nasty shit on FML...lol good luck with your life.... oh and ps i used to work at Abercrombie and they made me pay for their clothes to work there, obviously there is no "security deposit"...I quit and am stuck with the gay clothes...I can always return my AWESOME Cutco....
lol, Vector is a total scam. And they don't let you know what's going on at all when you ask for information about the job. Why? Because if they said what they do, you'd be like, "Shit, why do I want that job?" Not to mention they claim it's not door-to-door, and that you get 15 dollars per hour, not PER SALE. It's basically a job for people that can't get a job anywhere else - not even McDonalds. Know why? They're so desperate for workers since their name has become equivalent to the word "scam". If you got a job there, it's not because they prize you, it's because they're desperate. Sucks for you! If you've just become a manager, I hope you're looking out for yourself because you'll go into debt in about six months.
o vector marketing and their cutco knives. i cant believe you went to the UNPAID orientation after the interview, let alone actually buying the demo knives without even googling the company. Its a giant scam. I do have friends that actually have made money off of it, but that's because they preyed on their family and friends that the company convinces you to practice on. I went to the interview, which painstakingly long, and then left without ever calling them. you You deserve it, completely
Now, this is just my opinion but then again I can be an ashhole if someone pisses me off. Go back there, tell them if they don't give you your money back you'll report them to the Better Business Bureau and threaten to bring about a lawsuit because of their business practices, then regardless of whether or not they give you your money back do both because companies like that shouldn't be around
unpaid orientation? I work for Vector and yes training is not paid. The reason: the training seminar is actually a college accredited course. Thats why it is unpaid. And crasher41, have you tried Vector? What do you have against this highly respected company? Stop being a whiner and go do something with your life.
Answer: I have never personally worked for Vector, I am not that stupid. I have however done in depth case studies on the company while doing my MBA. Such academic studies revealed many of the deceptive and coercive tactics Vector uses to steal money from students and vulnerable citizens. Your statement that Vector is "reputable" is laughable. This is a company well-documented in using deceptive hiring practices and intimidating the vulnerable by promising high wages and spamming friends and family with high-pressure sales techniques. Most importantly, I am FULLY AWARE of the money Vector spend distorting the truth via online message boards, public relations campaigns and fake example advertisements. So Why do I help? Because it pisses me off and I want to help people, I gain nothing from Vectors tarnished reputation. I only seek the truth, and I don't appreciate Vector trying to distort it with countless fake posts. Sadly, some people may be fooled by this and I will do whatever I can to mitigate such deception. On a more personal note, I frequently ran across vector reps on campus and have watched first hand how deceptive and tricky they can be. Its funny how fast they back-track when you start to interrogate them about their business. Finally, you know nothing about me, so don't tell me to "get a life" haha. I could be the Prince of ******* Egypt for all you know. THINK, then SPEAK.
Crasher, I wonder if during the course of your case studies did you ever reach out to some of the college professors on the Advisory Board? Now I am sure you did all your homework and researched both sides of the story before you formed your opinion so this probably just slipped your mind. But if you are truly so desperate to find and spread the truth why do you not contact some of these professors and find out why they would allow Vector to be used as a college course or otherwise affiliate their own names and reputations with what you refer to as a scam. http://www.campusrelations.com/academia/advisoryboard.html Reach out to them if you are honestly looking to help people or just disregard me as some corporate shill paid to defend the company in an ad hominem attack. Either way, those professors still endorse the company.
HAHAHA... LOOK AT YOUR "EXAMPLE". Does anyone actually fall for this garbage!!?? It's a linked directly to Vector's site, SO BIASED!! It's like those informercials where they find some SMUCK doctor to either accidentally say the wrong thing or slip them a few bucks to give an endorsement. Do you go out and buy every product a celebrity endorses!? VECTOR IS A SCAM AND THEY USE DECEPTIVE TACTICS SUCH AS THAT LINK TO TRICK VULNERABLE STUDENTS OUT OF THEIR MONEY!!
I am not asking you to believe what is on the site. I said to contact them directly and ask their opinion. Your outright dismissal of it does a disservice to your attempts to discredit the company. Once you actually do some homework and talk to them then come back here. Till then, you can put up a front saying you are trying to help people but you clearly just showed you don't. If you did care you'd ask those professors. Again, I trust their established PhD's more than your supposed MBA.
I don't consider informing the public about a corrupt company stealing money from students a waste of time and I enjoy educating the public on their deceptive practices. I've stated this several time and will do so again: My 'vendetta' against Vector comes from their attempts to distort public message boards with fake "success" stories and endorsements with malicious intent of skewing facts thereby underling the integrity of a free speech board and insulting consumer rights to unbiased opinions. Most people don't understand that this is occurring, therefore I have taken personal responsibility to dismiss these positions as the frauds they are. I consider it my civic duty and an absolute pleasure.
There is no way that it is just a "coincidence" that 50 people randomly commented on this article and they or their brother/boyfriend/cousin/friend made $2,000 and how it is "not a scam" even though most anyone in real life would agree that it is. There is definitely company schills at work here. There is no chance this is just a crazy random happenstance. Anybody who wants you to pay them money for a job is a scammer.
Vaca, why do you find it so hard to believe that there could be successful sales representatives who read FML and want to defend the company they are affiliated with? I mean c'mon, are you seriously so skeptical and jaded that you cannot possibly conceive the notion that people would defend something in which they have invested themselves? As for a company that requires someone to pay to start up, have you ever heard of franchises? If someone wanted to own a professional sports team they would have the start up cost or as you say, "pay them money," with them being the league, to purchase the franchise or team. Every independently owned and operated McDonalds, 7/11, Dominoes, or any other franchise requires the owner to purchase the rights to open up a location. Am I comparing selling Cutco is the same thing as owning the Yankees? Of course not. But for you to claim that any job that requires some investment upfront is a scam is just ignorant of capitalism. Every entrepreneur who starts his/her own business be it a restaurant, novelty store, or lemonade stand will have to invest something up front. I challenge you to find another company that will refund the initial investment at any time as well as well as have such a relatively small start up cost of $145. Think about it.
HAHAHA this is as illogical as it is poorly written. I can tell you work for Vector just based on how flawed your reasoning is. Not only did it sound like a tacky infomercial you provided no examples that address the underlying issues. By your logic a company should force its employees to buy shares before working to them in the spirit on entrepreneurship. Hell, instead on money lets just pay our employees with stock too. Actually there was a company that did that, it was called ENRON. Biggest scam in US history. VECTOR = SCAM VECTOR IS A SCAAAM.
Crasher i think you need to relax a bit. Your trolling around is interesting but ultimately wrong. And I DID provide examples to address the underlying issue of having to pay something to work there by citing franchises. I am more than willing to have a discussion on your issues with the company but that will require you to at least be open to the possibility you are wrong on some points. Feel free to vent your grievances other than having to pay to work. I think It is pretty clear this is not the only place. And you are grossly misrepresenting my point by suggesting that I said employers should force employees to buy stock. Employees trade time for money. That is how per hour works. Vector is not like other jobs, for better or for worse. Sales Reps are NOT employees but rather independent contractors. For those of you who are unsure of the difference, sales reps are essentially their own business. And like I had mentioned earlier, businesses often require some capital to start up. Are there any other problems you have with the company or are you just going to attack me and not my points? Ad hominem does not work too well though.
Refer to post #329. VECTOR = SCAM
Your post was extremely offensive and I will be reporting you. I'm cool with being call ignorant and ******* retarded, but American!?.....that's just low.
oh vector marketing will you ever stop praying on the innocent?
