Today, I got a XXX wax, because my boyfriend wouldn't go down on me as he didn't like the hair. Now he won't sleep with me at all because I look like a child with no pubic hair, and he "feels like a pedophile." FML

What an idiot! What exactly did he think it was going to look like? I assume he feels like a paedophile watching shaved girls in **** too.....? Moron. I would offer this FML as a rebuttal for all the previous posts/comments where girls are pressured to shave or wax it. Perhaps first consider if the guy your with is either making excuses or pathetically attempting to exert power over your body. He's probably feeling inadequate regarding his own junk and prefers to redirect attention to your own 'below standard' bits.

Point of order. At no point does she state he asked her to shave or wax all her pubes. It could be she did it because he said he didn't want to go down because of the hair, but didn't ask if he thought that would be sexy. It also could be that before she had an ole 70s bush, the kind where you might flush a few quail while going down and just wanted her to trim up or get a strip.

I see both EvilDave's and vicky's points here. Communication is always key, and some people do deflect their own appearance insecurities onto their SO. However, there's nothing wrong with changing certain things about your body to please your partner, even if you wouldn't otherwise, or only agreeing to certain sexual acts after a few conditions are met. For the former, if you're not doing it out of insecurity, it can be a fun gift to give AND get, and quite sexually empowering. The latter is just a matter of respect for your partner, self-respect, and compromise— of course, dependent on communication. FWIW, girls aren't the only ones asked to change certain hair-related things. I've known so many guys who've gotten a mysterious impulse to "just try something new" with his facial hair after a new gf comes into the picture. >.<
