That really is terrible. I'm surprised though. In most states they cannot have you evicted that quickly, certainly not without notifying you first. They have to give you a chance to say "oh shit, the rent" even if you really did forget to pay. They were way out of line here and you could probably get the whole business shut down for unlawful practices. In Massachusetts's, at least, it takes 30 days minimum to evict someone, and that only if it's summer, in winter they cannot evict you or shut off your heat!
Oh my god! They killed your holiday! those bastards!
leasing offices and any place for rental are the worst. they never repair anything and there just horrible all around. do us all a favor, sue these jerks.
SUE!!
Did you live on Bronson? If so, I saw your shit on the curb... Oh, and sorry about that...
I find this entire story hard to believe. There's an error even in the little story itself : "I found the locks on my apartment changed and all my things on the curb, many of them broken or stolen." How exactly do you see something stolen from you? Does a thug just sit there, holding up a sign with big red lettering and a Wii taped to it "I STOLE THIS FROM YOU" or something like that? Another flaw, assuming your Spring Break was only one week: In nearly every state (if not all, I'm pretty sure it's all) it's a requirement of two weeks with notice before eviction from any rented property. Now, if the first was just a simple grammatical error and the second was really an accounting error then maybe this is a flawless, and truly evil scenario to be stuck in... but now I suppose why this name is Literacy and why grammar is SO IMPORTANT -_-

sue!!!
well i'm sure either you/they have insurance, and you can always take them to court, esp. to sue them for not only material but also "emotional" damages.
