I think there was a bit of misunderstanding it was just my boss who thought that way, the ladies i work with are the most respectful and caring people i have ever met.

Elder abuse is a serious problem. Please report this to whatever authorities you can! In the US every care worker is a mandated reporter and must report abuse or face fines and possible imprisonment themselves.
What an asshole! That should be all the more reason to be kind to them! They probably don't get many visitors, and the fact that their time is almost up should be all the more reason to make them comfortable and treat them with respect and kindness. Didn't anyone learn to respect their elders?
This is vague enough that I can't help but think there's more to it, and that the OP is just simplifying it to "fired for being nice".
Quite possibly. It's just also my experience that virtually anyone who gets fired will boil it down to the wording that assumes the least fault for themselves. Ex: Fired for working too slowly? "I got fired for being careful!" Fired for insulting a customer? "I was fired for being honest!" Fired for flagrantly breaking policy as a favor to someone? "I was fired for being nice!" Though I see the OP now posting about the previous boss being fired, so it looks like there was some merit to their claim in this case.
Can anyone say wrongful termination lawsuit?
Those are the kind of people I hope karma will literally kick the hell out of.
I will NEVER put my mother in a nursing home! They treat elderly people like shit! My great grandma was in a home and the staff stole her nice cloths all the time and had in in filthy cloths that were 3 sizes too big and it's just disgusting how they are treated!
That MF-er of a boss better hope his ass kicks the bucket in middle age or sooner because KARMA is a Bitch !

Why do people treat the elderly so horribly? They are people too; they've just experienced a LOT more than most.
So are children, teens, married people, single people, and imaginary friends. Your point?
