Today, I got fired from my job at an age care facility because I was too nice to my residents. My boss told me "They're deaf, blind and about to jump head first into the grave. We don't pay you to be kind." FML

I think there was a bit of misunderstanding it was just my boss who thought that way, the ladies i work with are the most respectful and caring people i have ever met.

That is just ****** up. OP what i will say is this, look into filing a lawsuit on wrongful termination. What i will howeversay is why do people insist on elder abuse? It's not right. Their our older generation and should be treated with care and respect as much as the next person. Learn to treat your elders with respect.

I must be an idiot because I thought the whole point of a nursing home was to make sure the residents were comfortable and healthy until their crossing into the next life/afterlife/cold dirt. Wouldn't kindness be part of that?
