Today, I got home from my 6-week vacation. Apparently, my mum cleaned my room for me while I was gone because my vibrator was neatly tucked into my blanket, next to my pillow instead of being hidden under my bed. FML

At least she was cool about it?

Hey, at least your mom was matter-of-fact about it and didn't yell at you over it, like some parents I know would. You might also want to invest in some kind of storage container for it. Your mom was probably pretty skeeved out by handling something that was in who-knows-whose bodily orifices. (If you travel by air in the USA with this kind of stuff in checked luggage, put things in clear ziploc bags for inspection. The TSA will thank you.)

Ugh I HATE when my mom cleans my room! I had the same thing happen to me

Then don't leave your room such a mess that it stinks & HAS to be cleaned by your mom, please! You obviously are around it enough to not realize just how bad a room can smell, or maybe you like smelling like dirty laundry. We, as parents don't necessarily like cleaning our kids rooms..much less smelling them & if you're under 18 you shouldn't have adult toys anyway..YDI.

Six weeks away from your vibrator, I can't stand six days without my little friend.

In England, everyone I know goes to university and stays at home for a couple of years settling into their first proper job before they move out (so they'll be about 23/24 before they move out).

Your mom thought "We all have our little secrets" which is not a secret after all.

Tell her it's not her place to be snooping around your room and not to move your things

Actually, #1: it IS, her place....house/apt...#2: if OP is under 18, then it is ALSO her place to snoop, how else will a parent know if their kid is into drinking/drugs, doing good & just plain need to be saved from their own ignorance/stupidity? Some people think that they are soooo entitled to what they're not. Guess that makes you one who thinks shes also entitled too. Entitled to give bad advice from an immature point of view.

Well at least she didn't throw it out? On the bright side you can still use it :)

I went on a 10 day trip to south America last summer and my parents cleaned my room for me. I found my vibrator in my dresser instead of under my bed... What's even more awkward is that my dads the one that found it..
