haha slightly embarassing..in some cultures they let the whole family know and there's a big ceremony for it, so you should at least be happy that didnt happen to you lol.

I could say the same about bitchy people or trolls but... Fact is there's ALWAYS someone out there with a worse problem. Looking at someone with a small stab wound and saying, "well some people are shit!" Doesn't make it go away. FML is mostly full of funny or embarrassing situations, not serious. If you are going to bitch about other people complaining about problems you personally don't see as problems on an app that's for exactly that, maybe this app isn't for you.

Actually people see it as taboo to talk about defecating. Inside of just saying, "I need to poop." They have come up with #2, drop the kids off at the pool, etc. Why? Everyone poops, just like all women have periods. That is why SOMAgirl is right.

What? That's still talking about ********, and putting a twist on it. You know, trying to be funny? In fact, my father and I actually prefer to say "Dropping the Cosby kids at the lake" because the pool's closed for black kids! ... Ahem. "Today, my aunt flo came and turned me into a Communist." Period joke. I once screamed at my mother "PERIOD MONSTAH" when she was getting exceptionally easily annoyed that day. My uncles heard me. Period joke. I am not ashamed nor sexually repressed, I'm making a joke. Just like I joked about my taking a shit. Jokes in fairly poor taste, in fact. ;P It's tons of fun, you should try it. But it doesn't matter, as it IS still a private thing, and people are embarassed when their private things are revealed, even when they do it themselves, as I said. It's normal to feel a little embarassed, especially the first time, especially when your dad pulls a silly stunt like that. Later on, OP is going to be joking about it, too. Just because she is embarassed her father actually made her a card, doesn't mean she is sexually repressed and all that. Seriously. Embarassed doesn't always equal ashamed, by the way. You're embarassed a lot by little things. You blush for a lot of reasons.
