Daww I'm sorry to hear that ): when I went to my husband's BCT graduation there were a few soldiers without families there too. I couldn't imagine not going. Thank you for your service though.
After doing the math, even assuming the worst fuel mileage, maximum distance, and high gas prices, I can't see that being more then 20, maybe thirty dollars at most for gas money, and that's being extremely generous. There's no way a family can't pool that kind of money for a day that important to you. Sorry about your family being such cheap jerks.
That sucks. I plan on joining the USMC on my 17th birthday. Thanks for your service.
That really sucks OP. Thank you for your service. SEMPER FI
That's disgraceful. I traveled from nj for my bfs boot grad. Thank you for your service

thank you for your service. at least you have the honor of knowing that all you hard work has paid off. it was a shit thing for your family not to show up but at least you know that you are moving on to bigger and better things.

Congratulations and thank you for the service. They are missing out on seeing a real hero
Well, that's their loss. They'll regret it eventually, not that it helps now. You're doing a great thing and you deserve their respect.
