Lose some weight, not only are you uneasy on the eyes...it's unhealthy.
I feel sorry for you, and btw ppl don't say stupid things like "Lose some weight" I know some ppl who just can't 'cause they have problems so I don't think It's pretty wise to say such a thing
It shocks me how many people in the comments immediately judge you as having no worth based upon some stranger saying you're fat. As long as she can do the job (and from the female's feedback she could do the job), nothing else should matter.
Normally I don't get involved, but the ignorance of people has pushed my little buttons. Though awkwardly phrased, the manager thought she (OP) did a good job. The owner was a pig. Even as a waitress, weight has little to do with what you are doing as long as you can stay on your feet for the amount of time. I also LOVE how people assumed she was applying for a waitress position. She could have been applying at a bank, a salon, as a cashier. And #46, "some upscale restaurant, Hooters was mentioned..." What the mess are you dropping to think HOOTERS is upscale? Unless your Hooters is different from the Hooters I know. It is all in the name--HOOTERS, a slang term for a woman's breasts. Restaurant? Sort of. Upscale? NO.
#45 hmmm, you're right. I didn't mean it that way. Thanks for pointing it out though :) The point i was trying to make is that she had no idea what she was talking about, which was later confirmed in her second post (#47) &@#47 I would go into it more... but quite frankly your ignorance angers me too much to make a coherent argument, so i'll just let it go.
#8, I disagree (with the waitress part). If a waitress doesn't look nice, she just doesn't make much money. It doesn't effect the company. She'll make the $3 an hour or whatever they pay waitresses there and not make much in tips. The only places that should care at ALL about weight are gyms and other places that sell weight loss. Even then, it sucks. Also, if I go to a restaurant and have a fat person serving me, I know the food is probably good. I'd trust their answer more when asking what's good. If you go to eat somewhere and everyone's stick thin, look out! The food is either bad or not prepared in a clean way. OP: You don't deserve that. The guy's a jerk. I hope you get a better job with a better boss.

People can be so disrespectful. :/ As though your weight has any bearing on how well you can do the job. It sounds like the owner was just being a jackass, so you're probably better off not working there at all. And btw, we have no idea what the OP looks like. The comments about she needs to lose weight are just stupid.
What a dick. You didn't deserve that.
