Today, I had to do community service work, so I helped out at a senior center. One of the confused elderly patients, who believed the Cold War was still on, thought I was a Soviet and started screaming about how I was going to nuke his country. FML

yes, because people always do community service because they're being punished for something.

I don't know how old the OP is but some schools require community service projects for graduation. Which could be the "had to" part of it.

So what. Wait tell one of them runs up behind you, tackles you, and starts beating you down cause they think your somebody else. I spent many years of working with elderly. Ydi for community service then complaining just because he is yelling at you.

That sounds like something my grandpa used to say! That man was tough as nails, but you had to be careful when he started playing around. He once gave all the dogs in the neighborhood chocolate for laughs. Some were sick for days!
