i volunteer to work at a nursing home and the old people sometimes hilarious, not the ones who had serious problems like dementia, but rather the ones who just figured that since they were old they could do or say what ever they wanted. I once heard an old lady tell an employee "wow, you weren't that fat the last time I saw you." She saw that employee every day. There was absolutely nothing mentally wrong with the old lady, she was just plain mean. But a lot of the patients were great, they had the best stories and were not shy about telling them.
