This is why I keep a $20 in my car at all times. It's one of my biggest nightmares.
If you left your wallet at home then I hope you didn't have your driver's license in it either because that would mean you're breaking the law and that could end badly if someone like an officer tried to help you. Sorry that happened to you OP
What would AAA actually do to help in this situation?
Usually they will give you a gallon or so of gas so you can get to a station, in this case I'm assuming the gave him enough to get home and back to the station.
