Something about the wording suggests that he's already done it. Maybe he brought it up "hypothetically" on the off chance that OP would be fine with it. Later, he could plan a rematch, or just fake one and adjust the timeline when he tells her about his experience. He's aching to tell her about it, but still be her bf.
