Well hunny, Pregnancy tests are NEVER wrong when it comes to being positive...unless u've had hormone injections the only way to get a positive is when it picks up the HCG hormone...i know this for a fact, so either 1 you miscarried, or 2 you could be at high risk, light bleeding can be common thru pregnancy's so i would goto a DR ASAP!
I love the people on here saying false positives are impossible or extremely rare. One of my ex-girlfriends got a positive and went to the hospital for a full check-up. False positive. Why? Cause under high levels of stress her body, for some unknown reason, produces that HCG hormone at just enough of a level that it would create a positive on the test. Its not impossible and a false positive is not a miscarriage. Some maybe but not all of them.
maybe this person mistaken this little spotting thing for a period. obviously shes really young and didnt know. and the parents should never ground her for being pregnant. what can they ground her for? "youre grounded you are not delivering that baby ever"??? lol
I don't see where you got the conclusion that "obviously she's really young." The beginning of a period basically looks just like blood, at least to me, so if it was just blood she could easily have mistaken it for a period. And just because her parents grounded her, doesn't mean she's young. They could be really overprotective and conservative and controlling. Certain parents will ground you at any age.
The chances of you still being pregnant are high. Go to a doctor. That's what you should have done first, before 100% relying on a home test.
You should have gone to your doctor to get a proper test before telling your parents. A dime-store pregnancy test from some shit pharmacy isn't exactly gospel. I didn't even have to check that you're from the United States. Typical american ignorance.
First of all, if you were smart, and had gotten an abortion, you'd never have had to tell themin the first place. Second of all, you should have taken more than one test before talling your parents. Pregnancy test sometimes give false results. No need to worry them if you aren't really pregnant
wow.... just wow.... Would you have said the same thing to your mom if this happened to her? Your still here, and wouldn't be if your mom made that decision Not wanting to tell your parents your pregnant or not wanting the kid doesn't mean the absolute smartest thing to do is get an abortion. You went out and got pregnant and you need to face the music, and you could also put the kid up for adoption if you don't want it. Unless it's bad for you in some way to give birth.
I'm going to assume this girl is still in high school, since she lives with her parents and they can still ground her. If she is in high school, and decides to carry the baby full-term, it could be hard on her. Her peers might make fun of her (calling her a ****, ect, which happened to my friend), or they might ship her off to an alternative school (in some states you don't even have the option to stay at your normal school). In that case, she wouldn't get to see her friends for another 9 months. Being a pregnant teen, even if you don't plan to keep the baby after it's born, is sometimes a very horrible situation to be in. Plus, with all the morning sickness, mood swings, backaches and contractions-not to mention labour- it's like PMSing for 9 months straight for some women. Abortion may just be her best choice, assuming she herself has nothing against it.It's not her only option, but it's an option that would allow her to stay in her own school, and avoid some humiliating rumours. Of course, I know all teenage pregnancies are not this harsh, as every girl's situation is different, but it's something she should consider, as long as she has no moral problems with it.
I really really hope stupidity is not inherited! When you are not willing to be a parent, but do want to have sexs you use the 3 way contraceptive method( the pill, condom and plan b pill). It is true that none of these are 100%safe, but adding the three make the risk of pregnancy minimal. Having said that, it is possible to have spot bleeding or even a period while pregnant( admittingly a period is extremely rare). You should really consult a docter to verify your pregnancy. Good luck, but still a YDI

Ouch, at least you can tell them the test lied?
