Today, I had to stand up on a train for my 4-hour journey. Why? Two pregnant women flew into unbridled rage with me over sitting in the priority seating, saying I was selfish. I'm recovering from spinal surgery. FML

And someone else couldn't get up for them? It had to be you and you only?

You should have explained your predicament to them and they probably would have let you sit

I would have refused to get up if I were you. I am currently pregnant, but try not to just assume someone doesn't need a seat because not everything someone is going through is visible.

You should have told them, and if they still wanted to be bitches just told them to **** off and refused to move. I hate women who think they're so special because they're pregnant, you're not, it happens to so many millions of women that you're not special (yeah, yeah, the miracle of life. It's an amazing thing, but you're not that special) and so many handle it without being so entitled and nasty. I mean I'll gladly move for anybody who needs the seat (and usually people who just want it to sit with a friend or whatever) as long as they're not nasty. Act like a bitch and I won't do shit for you.

Pregnant women/mothers are the rudest people on transit.

Honestly, I wouldn't have even gotten up. I'm curious as to why you didn't just say you had surgery and in pain... They could find a seat somewhere else. Just because you're pregnant doesn't mean you're handicapped. And it's no excuse to be a bitch.

did you tell them about that..or just ignore them and tell them to **** off?

you should have told them it isn't your fault they got knocked up.

I have had same issue except mine was hip surgeries I recommended getting a doctors note or something I got a temporary handicap pass so I keep the registration of that with me when gotta take a bus or anything where priority seating it's a lot easier then asking them if they want u drop your pants show them the scars

Could you have explained that to them or anyone else for that matter? Spinal surgery is a big deal at times being selfish is best.
