600$ worth of food and beverage? were you planning to stay for a month!?
Of course $600.00 depends on how large the OP's family is and how bad the blizzard is going to get...
Exactly lol. $600 is insane. I can fill up a whole cart at the grocery store for like $150 or even less. I can see it though the clerks always tell me they have some people that spend $300 a week. Also depends on prices of where u live and what store you go to.
I'm not sure if you deserve a "YDI" for I don't know how close you are to the nearest town or city.
Because it can get ridiculously cold? Weather isn't confined to just one season.
It's all about the tins!
Just use common sense and put it outside. Not to mention, as long as you keep the fridge and freezer closed, it should stay frozen or refrigerated for some time yet
Yea op learn to control the weather and not make blizzards
IG its a huge blizzard there is a good chance you will lose power.stock up on non perishables and if you got perishables put in your back yard snow
get some dry ice and put it in the fridge
Um canned food?
i kinda agree with the guy who said to put some dry ice in the fridge and freezer... if u have the cash to spare after droppin 600 on food, and if the storm hasnt already hit, u should go out and buy some... if not, u could at least scoop some snow from outside (assuming ur kitchen is near enough to a door) and pack ur fridge/freezer with snow... that should keep stuff at least cool enough to not spoil.. or, u could bury it in the snow in the back yard and hope animals dont find it...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't you supposed to buy food that can be stored and doesn't perish at room temperature when a storm heads your way?
if it's cold enough to snow, put all the stuff outside
