Today, I got demoted at my job. Instead of working with patients, they want me to file. The thing is, I'm a volunteer; I work for them for free. FML

I'm suprised you actually had time with patients. Usually the volunteers are strictly paperwork and receptionists.

Maybe they don't like how you work with the patients. You should ask for an explanation of why they moved you. But look on the bright side - at least you're making the same amount of money. You're still volunteering and doing good work, it's just different good work.

You're a volunteer, of course they'll have you doing stuff that is easy and that they don't want to do, lol.

exactly, if they don't need an extra hand with patients, they'll make you do something else. don't like it? stop volunteering there and take your skills elsewhere.
