Deer don't mate for life. Or even pair off for the season. Whether or not that "mama" deer had lived, he'd be off for another doe in no time.

I doubt that deer are smart enough to have such complex feelings. It's not like, "OMG MAI DEER MATE! WUT WILL I DO? HOW WILL I GO ON?!?!?!?!" It's more like, "HEY, I WUZ GUNNA RUN IN FRUNT OF DAT ONE!!!!!!1111111"

thats a scary feeling. i had an 8 point buck ram the side of my car while i was going 90 on a backroad. he broke alot of stuff for just hitting my door.

I can't belive the morons that post here. I live a half hour from the nearest thing that resembles a town. I have hit 5 deer with my pickup, one on a motorcycle, and 2 with a hay truck. They are a pain in the ass and dangerous when the roads are slick in the winter. Get over yourselves and and realize that shit happen and deer die. While the rut is on right now and bucks are aggressive, I highly doubt one ramed your car.
