I know that parents may never be completely happy with whoever one chooses to marry (for whatever reason - they think the person isn't good enough, they don't think you should settle down with anyone, etc.), but if your parents think he's a dick, maybe it's a good time to ask for your friends' *honest* opinions about him too. I think sometimes we look past imperfections too easily, think someone will change, or whatever. But it matters. Anyway, I hope the guy you marry isn't a douche.
