Today, I learned the hard way not to keep my own cash in my pocket while working as a cashier, when I was forced to give $30 to a scamming customer. FML

I would really like to know how that happened

Most businesses have cameras above the register. I would have put on a friendly smile for the camera and tell the customer to **** off. They can't prove shit, and if your boss doesn't have your back i feel sorry for you.,

I would ask to see the security cameras. Id also put out a police report. More to get your own cash back than the scamming customer

I worked at Kroger as a cashier and I'd tell them to take the job and shove it before I would give my hard earned money to some asshat

I moderated this and said yes because forced? No one forced you to give your own money.. Either way not sure if you deserve this or not

This needs an update. I wouldn't have given that person my own money.

we all choices in life. you chose to give your money to them. you could have easily proved it was your money.

YDI for actually giving up your own money. like tell them to call corporate to watch the cameras because I am not giving up my hard earned money to some ass.

That really sucks OP!! Hope everything goes well for you..

You should probably look into a new job. Quit on good terms, wait til you have said new job. Then, show up at this place and tell your former boss to go have self-relations with his/her self.

this would be so rad ! hell yeah ! do this op..

I wouldn't have given them anything! That's your personal money and they dont have a right to it, no matter how much they complain.
