Today, I'm a little over a month pregnant. My fiancé has decided that if we both act like I'm not pregnant, "the baby will get the hint and go away". FML

You should pretend he's not the father and maybe he'll get the hint and go away.

Let me be the first to say your husband is dumber than the child

You obviously are getting married to the most intelligent man alive. Congratulations!

If he was man enough to get you pregnant, he's man enough to raise his kid. Its not just going to disappear.

Now look at that same comment but with different gender roles. "If she's a woman old enough to get pregnant, she's should be able to raise a kid." Seems a bit harsh when it's stated like that, doesn't it? Also consider that he was only joking, or hinting that he wants an abortion in a light-hearted manner, or just unaccustomed to the idea of being a parent. Everyone seems to be jumping to conclusions.

No, it seems no more harsh than it ought to. If you have sex, even protected sex, you need to be mature enough to face the consequences. Being male or female has nothing to do with it.

109 sexual equality is only allowed in certain circumstances. Obviously if a woman doesn't want a kid she's allowed to get rid of it but if the man doesn't, well then too effin bad for him.

@109 That is complete horseshit. A 16 year old may be mature enough to share intimate connections with others, but they're certainly not anywhere near ready to have a CHILD. And what about people who dont ever want kids? Your comment is selfish and ignorant.

Let me start off by saying that your comment is informative and well worded. I assume he does not want a baby because they are expensive. To add to that, they can be loud (crying), annoying (crying at 3AM), and disgusting (vomiting in your mouth at 3AM). It's just a fact, every parent will admit that. Don't tell me that you've never thought these things. Other times, people simply do not want children. These do not excuse OP's boyfriend from being a total **** though. He should man up and deal with it.

Introducing the newest, most innovative, less invasive abortion procedure yet: The power of suggestion!

Next time he wants sex just tell him, in your mind, you have already done it twice in the morning. And tomorrow too. And for the next 9 months.

He may need a refresher in sex education.

My question is where exactly does he think its going to go?
