Today, I made chicken noodle soup for the girl I've been seeing to help her get over her cold. From scratch. Everything fresh save for the canned chicken stock. It took an hour in preparation and half an hour to take the bus to her place. Her first words? The celery's not cooked enough. FML

canned chicken stock? Chicken stock is like 90% of chicken noodle soup. So when you say you made it all from scratch, what you really mean is "you chucked some veggies and noodles into a pot of warm canned stock". Very nice gesture, sure, but you hardly had to do much making, and you could of easily made sure the minimal work you did have to do was well done. Not very FML worthy considering you didn't do it right.

Nice to know this girl has a boyfriend who expects her to be on her best game even when she's ill. You're perfect in every way of course, you obviously know how to cook and it's not like you would do something nice and then whine when there's no immediate reward.
