While I agree that this guy from the mall is an ass and not worth being upset over, the people commenting here seem to be missing an important distinction. There's a difference in not approving of veal as a food and being a vegetarian. I know a number of meat-eaters, many of whom believe that vegetarians are all idiots, who refuse to eat veal. They find it cruel to A) kill baby cows and B) give the baby cows a low quality of life before killing them. Not promoting that viewpoint at all... just saying... #8 - Not all liberals are assholes. I've met politically conservative vegetarians. You have no way of knowing this guy's political leanings. Offensive generalizations not necessary. OP - You're totally better off without this guy. I'm on the guy's side. Veal is disgusting. Knowing that you're eating a calf that's eaten no food it's entire life (at least not real food) seems totally immoral. I understand eating meat (even though I'm a vegetarian) but ew. Still, you can eat what you want, it's your life!

I hate PETA with the passion of a thousand burning suns. Sure, we all love cute little baby animals. But by eating them, we're not exactly the ones who are slicing their throats while shouting "DIE, YOU LITTLE SHIT!" Plus, if we don't buy it, then they're being killed for no reason. You obviously could argue that if nobody's buying it, then they'd stop being killed. But really, there are way more people in the world that actually like eating healthy, nutritious meat than spend their time petitioning for PETA. Anyway, if you gave an animal the intelligence of a human, d'you think they'd be all "PROTECT THE HUMANS!"? No, they'd do the smart thing and eat us. Probably alive. Peace.

Some people are so stupid... If the animal died, you may as well make the most of it and eat it while it's still good, right? Jesus. Yeah, it might've been bred in captivity or whatever the ****, but at least it could provide nutrition for the masses after death instead of getting shot and dragged back home for taxidermy. It's life was shit, it'll become shit after we eat it, and hopefully it won't taste like shit. :]

And the fact that you are quoting 8-year-old cartoon characters to support your argument doesn't exactly disprove my point. I remember the kids back in high school who started using the word Jewish to mean stupid after they saw Cartman do it.
