Today, I moved into my new college apartment for the next year. A 45 year old guy with a mustache in short shorts and no shirt answers the door. He will be one of my roommates. FML

Today, I moved into university residence, looking forward to finally being able to come out of the closet. I started chatting with the hot guy moving in next door to me. He said I was cool, and he was glad because he was afraid he'd be living next to a gay guy. FML

Today, I moved into my university dorm a week before classes start. Everyone kept giving me weird looks as they watched me move my stuff in. Finally, one of my dorm mates asked me if I knew that school had actually started last week. I didn't. FML

So, this is an APARTMENT. Meaning you had a choice. And you didn't bother to check on who you would be living with?? I can't think of a single situation in which you can't fire off an email or make a phone call and ask who the roommates in an apartment will be, including basic stats like age and gender, before signing a lease. If this were a dorm, I'd be sympathetic. That does actually happen in dorms. But this...yeah, your fault.
