Ok so here is an update, they canceled my $147 fine because I was using 100% legal us tender. However in order to pay off the $35 in pennies they had to either be rolled by the bank or I had to count them 1 by 1, so I rolled 'em.

I use to think this was a funny app but getting frustrated with how dumb everyone is. There are probably 10 of u that think the bank is the ones that called the cops. And 50 of u think that pennies are legal tender when they are not. I expect this type of behavior from OP who can not read a parking sign but was just shocked how many dumb people there are out there. I feel like I lost brain cells reading some of you comments.
Ah, justice, how we all love it!
You paid the ******* ticket!! What more do they need??
They refused payment. Your off the hook. I did that with a cable bill. They didn't wanna accept it, so I didn't have to pay them.
Yeah, be sure to tell us what small claims court thinks of that one.
dude, I work as a cashier, and u r suppose to have the pennies rolled, in order for them to accept that much in pennies, I would make someone roll 100 pennies, let alone 3500 :/ u deserved it ya dummy
Well, why get revenge because of a parking ticket? You probably deserved that one as well. If you didn't deserve that one they have targeted you and you should run before they unleash the dogs.
if you're in America, that's illegal. any place collecting money is required to accept any legal tender, including, yes, pennies. sue their asses :D

What on earth for? What did they cite you with? There's no violation of any law civil or criminal there...
A bucket full of pennies is a perfectly legitimate way to pay. They are legal tender. An idiotic way to pay would be like with sticks of gum.
