Anyone who says "it's JUST a dog" or "it's JUST a cat" doesn't understand things at all… That pet was part of your family for YEARS. A pet will stand by your side until it's dying day. You care for them, feed them, give them shelter, and love them…and in return a pet gives you happy memories and the greatest kind of love there is…WITHOUT ASKING ANYTHING IN RETURN. To those who STILL don't get it……these animals have a name. They have a place in our hearts. No one ever forgets their pets, because they're just the most special animals in the world

First off, I want you to know how sorry I am that you lost your friend. No, not the asshat who calls themselves a friend, but rather the kind and loving soul you lost to the beyond. I know it can be difficult and you have my apologies. I lost my cat months ago and I'm still not ok. Pets are friends/family and it can be hard to lose them. People who have never lost anyone special to them will never understand how it feels until it actually happens. Especially when it comes to animals. A lot of people consider them less and that the love you feel is somehow less, therefore they believe losing them should hurt less but that's not the case. Your dog has crossed rainbow bridge and I'm sure they'll be waiting to meet you again. They're watching over you from wherever they are. That's what I'd like to believe.

Man that's rough. Someone doesn't understand what it's like having to put down a loved one. Sorry for your loss and having to find out your "friend" is an ignorant shit head. My friends helped me bury my dog in the middle of winter because I didn't want him in a freezer for months until the ground was thawed.

Say that exact thing when one of his family members dies and he's really upset yes its mean but hey karmas a bitch
