Today, I paid $500 for a gym membership after moving into a brand new house, since 12 years of software development has taken its toll. When I told my instructor about my goal to lose 35lbs in two months, he simply said, "Yeah... That's not going to happen. Try another gym," and left promptly. FML

Today, I joined a gym. I’m overweight and not very athletic, so I was nervous. I looked around and tried a treadmill. I start walking at a chill pace, then got ambitious and cranked it to a "light jog." Within seconds, I tripped, fell, and sent the emergency stop button flying across the room. The gym staff ran over and I swear someone said, “Well, at least he’s trying.” FML

He kind of did his job there though....the average healthy weight-loss rate is approximately 1-2 lbs per week ish? Weight-loss as rapid as you wanted could really screw you up.

35 pounds in 2 months is really a bit high but 20 to 25 should be possible.

What a tool. Never settle man always keep pushing the limits at the gym. Easiest way to lose weight 8s swimming for an hour a day. It's boring as f. But you will shred weight. Best part is that swimming is low impact so starting out won't leave you sore during or after.

Trust me, I lost 67 pounds in six months and while I felt soooo much better it was way too fast. Even if you ignore all of the health reasons it's not a good idea to lose weight so fast, I have loose skin that is taking a loooooooong time to firm up because I lost the weight so fast, definitely not sexy.

I'm sure he was trying to be helpful but it just came across the wrong way. Don't give up! You can get into shape! Just don't try and shed it all off in an insanely short amount of time.

35 pounds in 2 months is a very extremely goal. 2-3 pounds a week is safe

Wtf. Get a refund. And god luck you can do it if you try hard enough. Try slim fast.

To be fair, that is unhealthy. He didn't have to be so rude though.
