Having those papers is messy. You just wasted time, money and effort.
There's a wonderful invention that you may have heard of that will change how you buy books forever: the internet. Not only can you find textbooks for MUCH cheaper than bookstore prices, but you can also sell your book online and get way more cash than what the cheapy mccheapskates at the bookstore will give you. Think about it: I'm taking 5 psychology and sociology classes next semester. I just bought all my required books on Amazon.com for about $250. After I sell back the textbooks I had for this semester, I'll end up only paying $150. If I had gone to the bookstore, all my books would have easily been over $500. So before you decide to be an idiot again and copy a whole textbook (which is copyright infringement btw), just go online and see if you can get the book for cheap.
Idiot!
Copyright infringement is a federal offense. You can legally photocopy only 10% of a book you own. Dumbass.
No, you did a good thing OP! I had the school tell me that before too, and guess what? I never saw a red cent! Not only that, they can't take it away from you and you can sell it to another student for less next year.
You do know that it is illegal to photocopy them and if your professor catches you, they will force you to not bring it to class.
you are just really stuiped wasting all those poor trees :(
Two problems with copying so many pages: - copyright infringement - if it's an essential textbook, it would probably come in handy beyond just the unit. In some cases, you can get away with copying portions of a book. In other cases, you're better off just buying it.

Way to go tree killer!
Bind the photocopied pages together and sell it to the next un-informed student for cheaper.
