Today, I pulled over to help an attractive girl on the highway in the middle of nowhere. When I asked if she needed help she told me she was going to try starting her car one more time. She then started to make fake engine noises and told me that she was good to go and that I should be on my way. FML

LOL. fake engine noises? what a retard.

she may have had someone coming. You can't just trust every stranger's intentions. no need to hope the worst for 'er because she didn't want a stranger's services.

Maybe she thought you were asking the obvious, and decided to make her point through the medium of interpretive sarcasm?

Ok first off u people made me get an account so I can comment, I have been trying to advoid getting an account but thanks you... Secondly I would of done the same thing as OP except I wouldn't get out of my car and not have my rape face on... Contrary to 2npac's and most women's belief, I am one of the few gentleman that wants to help out any girl without the goal of sex, no matter if they are ugly or beautiful.... OP - YDI for not staying in your car like a normal person and asking her from there or asking her if he repair truck is on the way... Now I'm not tryin to be a troll, I'm just saying you never ever get out of the car unless she really needs your help and asks you for your help... And example would be if she was trying to flag you down, that's when you pull over and help... Common sense people...

Haha, it does. The more a guy emphasizes his kindness with words, the more of a douchebag he becomes. And this is coming from a guy.

Haha. Well, she could already be waiting for a pickup, but then again, maybe she just didn't enjoy looking at your sorry mug. Or perhaps she was just answering your pathetic, rhetorical question with an equally pathetic attempt at sarcasm. Meh. Just drive on and hope that she doesn't get picked up for another two hours or something....

Jesus. All the women here are making me sick. I try really really hard to not be sexist, but women like the one in the FML, and most of the female commenters, make it hard. Look. This is the attitude that is wrecking our country. No, I'm not exaggerating, and no it's not exclusive to women. I'm talking about the whole "a tiny fraction of a percent is dangerous, so let's freak out" attitude. It comes in with "think of the children" (watch some guy try to get hired as a kindergarten teacher, or help a lost child on the subway), it comes in with terrorism (everybody take off your shoes), and it comes in with all these OMG I HAVE A .1% CHANCE OF BEING RAPED women. I'm sick of it. The world isn't safe. I'm not saying we need to take unnecessary risks, but at some point you're just being stupid. That point is before you teach your kid to kick any guy in the nuts, before we ban the smallest amount of liquid on a plane, and before some woman decides to pretend her car works (and everybody agrees). And I can't help but notice that this attitude is mainly a female thing. I'm just saying - but can anyone disagree?

I can. But I will not get into it via FML. Just know for girls it IS a lot more dangerous then you think.

Look the official crime statistics and shut up all of you, men are more likely to be the victim crime from strangers. I.E people they have NEVER met before. Males between the ages of 18 - 25 are the most at risk from this, but the trend shows that throughout every age group more males are vicitmised. Women are also more likely to go crazy and attack a man than he is of doing the same. I'm not being sexist look it up.

here's the gist of it: when you are in an extremely vulnerable position you should be scared; and most people are. being in a broken down car alone on the highway leaves you at the mercy of whoever comes along, and if you have no way to defend yourself of course you are scared and going to be super super careful, much more than usual, unless you are an idiot. some guys get it, but a lot don't just because they just don't have to worry as much about rape if in that position. -the majority of guys are bigger than the majority of women -the majority of rapists are men -the majority of the population is hetero there's just a lot less for guys to worry about, how likely is it that at the moment you're stranded you'll meet a gay rapist who's stronger than you? its much more likely for a girl who's totally vulnerable to meet a hetero rapist who's bigger than her and when you're scared your survival instinct amps up

Can't blame the girl, you may be a very nice, respectful, harmless person, but there are many people out there who are not. I would probably decline your help too just because you never know and its better to be safe then sorry (and by sorry I mean lying dead in a ditch somewhere after being raped repeatedly) also, it was in the middle of nowhere so that makes it all the more creepy because there is noone else around to help you if someone attacked you.

You should've just telepunched her in the face for being a punk ass. easytacular
