Today, I pulled over to help an attractive girl on the highway in the middle of nowhere. When I asked if she needed help she told me she was going to try starting her car one more time. She then started to make fake engine noises and told me that she was good to go and that I should be on my way. FML

LOL. fake engine noises? what a retard.

she may have had someone coming. You can't just trust every stranger's intentions. no need to hope the worst for 'er because she didn't want a stranger's services.

Exactly. While the fake engine noises is a pretty dumb thing to do, I would be scared too if I were stranded alone and a strange man stopped to "help." Who knows what he's going to do? Sure, most people are nice, but it only takes one creep to ruin your life.

I laughed when I read it. Just visualizing it looks funny. vroom vroom... I'm good. You should be on your way.

not only does she think you're ugly, but she thinks you're stupid enough to fall for something like that.

I'm sorry, that is even more funny than a stripper giving my friend his money back.(actually happened)

I agree slimjim. you bascically said it all. if we as a nation weren't so ******* paranoid about everything we would be better off because people would be nicer. and by the way, yes I know by experience, lived in Chicago for 5 years. and not in a gated community either.

She had to have known that even if you were a creepy rapist/murderer that fake engine noises weren't going to stop you. It honestly isn't a very good tactic to scare anyone away but it is a good one to tell people to "**** off." That is what you get for trying to help a woman. I suggest next time you see a woman who may be or is in need of help that you just keep on moving. It isn't your problem.

She was probably just scared. She was alone and defenseless on a highway. For all she knew you could have been a serial killer.

Okay first off I understand a view of caution when dealing with strangers and the fact that the danger is probably higher for women, although this women had a ridiculous way of dealing with it. However some of these comments along the lines of 'for all she knew...' just irk me as it just shows the society we live in where the media puts us into a frenzy of fear through moral panics and it is no longer safe to interact with our local communities let alone strangers. best stop there before I launch into a full on rant.

YDI for being an idiot. Haven't you seen those highway scams on TV where people claiming to have broken down in the middle of nowhere have used the oppurtunity of someone coming to their aid to steal their valuables?
