WTF is wrong with YOU?! Is it young? Yes, but who the hell are you to pass judgments on people just because of their age? For all you know they have been dating since they were 11. Just because YOU aren't ready for marriage doesn't mean other people aren't. There is absolutely nothing wrong with being married at 21.

why is everyone so surprised/shocked at someone being married at 21? Maybe he knocked her up, and did the right thing as a man and married her. I mean, getting married at 21 is certainly not nearly as controversial as marrying off your 15-16-17 year old daughters as was done in centuries past...

The OP had to expect criticism for being 21 and married, since his post revealed a fear of the dark. That's usually associated with being young and immature, but it doesn't mean he actually is. I got married at 22, and I agree that SOMETIMES 21 is too young. Personally, I wasn't too young, and neither was my husband. We were both treated as adults from young ages, so we matured more quickly than the average American kid. And we had both been living on our own, traveling and schooling all over the world for years before we got married. Since we were going to continue doing that, it made sense to get married and do it together. I still think I'm too young to have kids, 5 years later, but my goals in life dictate that I have more life experiences before I "settle down", which to me, means kids. PS. I love giving my $0.02 anonymously online :)

theres no age thats way too young to be married if people love each other then they can get married its their choice and were i live ppl get married at 18-22 love is not a number or age
